Gingered Pumpkin Pear Soup

2 sweet onions,chopped
1 tablespoon grated ginger
2 tablespoons margarine
5 pears,sliced
1 (29 ounce) can pumpkin
3 cups pareve chicken broth
2 cups nondairy creamer
Salt and pepper to taste

In a medium stockpot,sauté onion and ginger in margarine until soft.Stir in pears and sauté for 2 minutes.Add pumpkin and broth and bring to a boil.Reduce heat and simmer,covered for 188宝金博about 10 minutes.Remove from heat and cool.Purée mixture with hand immersion blender.Season to taste with salt and pepper.
